. Eric Lind, who posted photos of the owl on Facebook, said that his parents received a call from a neighbor telling them to look outside in the backyard at their pine tree. When they looked, they saw the owl flying around with the stick horse, looking like a witch on a broomstick.
The owl had apparently stolen the stick horse toy and was flying around with it. Lind was able to snap a photo of the bird, which quickly went viral.
Some people commented that the owl may have been attracted to the horse’s head, which looked like fuzzy prey.
Lind said that the owl didn’t appear to be in any danger and that it seemed to be willfully carrying the stick horse around.
He posted the photos and video on social media, hoping to bring a smile to his family and friends’ faces. The post was shared more than 103,000 times and the video was viewed more than 5 million times.
