A couple’s morning run turned into a rescue mission when they stumbled upon a baby owl that had fallen out of its hollow. The couple, Andrea and her husband, quickly sprang into action to save the helpless bird.

Andrea was on a run at a local park when she noticed two big, adorable eyes staring at her from the base of a tree. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was a baby owl that had fallen out of its hollow. Concerned for the bird’s safety, she immediately called the local Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for advice.

The DNR advised that the owl should be put back in its hollow if possible. However, since the couple didn’t have a ladder and couldn’t climb the tree, they had to come up with an alternative solution. They decided to prop a picnic table against the base of the tree instead.
With her husband’s help, Andrea carefully picked up the owlet and placed it on a large branch they had found. She then stood on the picnic table with the branch and lifted the baby owl back into its hollow.

The couple’s quick thinking and resourcefulness saved the baby owl’s life. Without their intervention, the bird may have been left vulnerable to predators or other dangers.
This heartwarming story serves as a reminder of the importance of being aware of our surroundings and taking action to help animals in need. It also highlights the critical role that organizations like the DNR play in protecting wildlife and preserving our natural resources.

The couple’s act of kindness and compassion towards the baby owl is a shining example of how we can all make a difference in the world, one small act of kindness at a time.
