“A Wisconsin couple recently rescued a “huge” injured owl that was trapped inside their chicken coop.
Angela Bartkus and her husband, who she calls her own “Dr. Dolittle” in her TikTok bio, were able to capture the rescue effort on video.

The footage shows that the owl had killed at least one of the couple’s chickens, but despite the fear of the other chickens, the couple decided to help the “beautiful predator” out. Bartkus’ husband entered the chicken coop and gently picked up the owl, cradling it in his arms.
The couple then noticed that the owl had a “bumblefoot” infection on its foot, which is an inflammatory condition of the avian foot.
In the video, they can be seen carefully removing a loose, infected claw and treating it with antibiotic ointment and germicidal spray.

After the treatment was finished, the owl was released back into the wild.
The video of the rescue effort has since gone viral, with many viewers praising the couple for their kindness and compassion.
Bartkus’ husband has been hailed as a hero for his bravery and willingness to help the injured owl.
The video serves as a reminder of the importance of taking care of our wildlife and the need to protect our environment.”
