Owls are some of the most fascinating creatures in the forest, and they make for excellent subjects for wildlife photographers. Sompob Sasi-Smit, a photographer based in Bangkok, Thailand, has captured the many different faces of these silent hunters in his stunning photographs.
Sasi is a prolific photographer who has a lot of experience in bird photography, particularly with parrots. However, his owl photography is truly exceptional, showcasing the beauty and grace of these majestic creatures.
One of the biggest challenges of owl photography is their incredible camouflage, which makes them difficult to spot in their natural habitat. However, Sasi’s talent and skill as a photographer allow him to capture these elusive creatures in all their glory.

“I travel a lot. Traveling for taking pictures of birds is my passion,” Sompob told Bored Panda. “Actually, it is not easy to find these owls. Most of them, I found in the jungles but some I saw in the zoos. I’ve spent many years taking and collecting these owl photos”

“To be serious and patient are important qualifications of a bird photographer. You need to learn the owl’s behavior and characteristics. Sometimes, I wait for a long time to get the right, beautiful and interesting posture”

These stunning images are a testament to the beauty and wonder of these incredible creatures, and they serve as a reminder of the importance of preserving their natural habitats for generations to come.
